Redd Park
Redd Park is the largest park in the City of Newark. It connects The Woods at Louviers, The Hunt at Louviers, Pine Meadow, Wyncliff and the reservoir. Several residents have contacted me about the drainage on the trails in Redd Park. The Parks department has been discussing the condition of the maintenance road/trail. They have recently met with New Castle County Conservation District, Delaware State Parks (a Trail Specialist), DNREC Wetlands Division, and a contractor who has extensive experience constructing and rehabilitating trails. About half the money has now been obtained. The City is obtaining grant money for this and will find out sometime in March if the other half has been allocated. Work would take place in the driest months, July or August, once the money is approved.
